2024年1月1日に発生した令和6年能登半島地震により甚大な被害を受けた奥能登地方において、9月21日、線状降水帯の影響で激しい豪雨が発生しました。輪島市、珠洲市、能登町では、石川県内で最も高い警戒レベルである「大雨特別警報」（警戒レベル5）が発表され、地域はさらなる災害に見舞われています。
According to Ishikawa Prefecture, flood damage to homes and facilities has been confirmed throughout the prefecture. In particular, eight temporary housing facilities in Wajima and Suzu cities have been severely damaged, with floodwaters reaching above floor level. In addition, many residences in Wajima City, Suzu City, and Noto Town were also inundated, but the full extent of the damage has not yet been determined. In addition, two facilities for the elderly, three facilities for the disabled, and two facilities for children in Wajima City have reported flooding above and below floor level.
