{"id":2185,"date":"2025-11-15T16:48:18","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T07:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wipeace.org\/?post_type=custom_project&#038;p=2185"},"modified":"2025-11-15T16:49:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T07:49:01","slug":"ishikawa-housing-support","status":"publish","type":"custom_project","link":"https:\/\/www.wipeace.org\/en\/custom_project\/ishikawa-housing-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Materials Support Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Period<\/strong><strong data-start=\"141\" data-end=\"166\">\uff1a<\/strong>March 27, 2025 &#8211; April 17<br><strong data-start=\"169\" data-end=\"200\">Locations\uff1a<\/strong>Damnak Chang Aeur Village, Koh Poan Island<br><strong data-start=\"169\" data-end=\"200\">Support Provided\uff1a<\/strong>Distribution of educational materials, improvement of learning environments, and cash assistance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>World in Peace<\/em> carried out support activities in two educational facilities in <strong>Damnak Chang Aeur Village<\/strong> and <strong>Koh Poan Island<\/strong>, Cambodia, with the goal of expanding educational opportunities and improving learning environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the community kindergarten of <strong>Damnak Chang Aeur Village<\/strong>, learning backpacks were distributed to <strong>18 children<\/strong>, each containing notebooks, pencils, colored pencils, water bottles, whiteboard markers, and pencil cases. To further enhance the classroom environment, <strong>lighting and<\/strong> <strong>electric fans<\/strong> were installed, providing a more comfortable learning space where children can concentrate despite heat and dim lighting. In addition, <strong>cash assistance<\/strong> was provided to teaching staff to ensure the continuity of educational activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, on <strong>Koh Poan Island<\/strong>, <em>World in Peace<\/em> supported a small school attended by <strong>27 children aged 5 to 15<\/strong> from families engaged in fishing and eco-tourism \u2014 the only educational institution on the island. The school is minimally equipped with just a blackboard, plastic chairs, and a tin roof, and its teachers possess only an elementary-level education (around Grade 6). Despite these limitations, the children\u2019s motivation to learn remains remarkably strong.
