Kids and Education

Around the world, many children still cannot attend school and are deprived of educational opportunities:

  • 11% of primary school–age children (approximately 78 million)
  • 15% of lower secondary school–age children (approximately 64 million)
  • 31% of upper secondary school–age youth (approximately 130 million)

…are still out of school.(UENSCO, 2025)

Globally, more than 250 million children are out of school. In low- and middle-income countries, 70% of 10-year-olds cannot read a simple sentence, and extreme weather events have forced school closures that affected over 400 million students between January 2022 and June 2024.(World Bank、2025)

Lack of access to education creates a cycle of poverty and reinforces social inequality. Children who cannot attend school miss out on basic literacy and numeracy skills, limiting their future job opportunities and income potential. This perpetuates a cycle of poverty that affects not only them but also the next generation.

Education is one of the most powerful tools to break this cycle. By receiving quality education, children gain access to better employment and life opportunities, while contributing to broader social development, including improved health, gender equality, peace, and stability. World in Peace believes that protecting learning opportunities is an investment in the future and a key to reducing poverty and inequality.

What we do

Educational Material Support

Creating learning opportunities to expand children’s potential

For children to learn effectively, they need basic school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, colored pencils, sharpeners, and erasers. World in Peace provides these essential materials to each child, helping to improve motivation, enhance learning environments, and support their educational growth.

Our Initiatives

Overseas Activities

Cambodia | Damnak Chang Aoul Village

Distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to 18 children at the community kindergarten. Classrooms were equipped with lighting and fans, and teachers received training and cash support to strengthen their educational activities.

Cambodia | Koh Poan Island

At a single school on the island, 27 children received backpacks with essential learning materials. The school had only basic facilities, including a blackboard, plastic chairs, wooden beds, and a tin roof. Despite having only a primary education equivalent to 6th grade, the teachers work tirelessly to provide meaningful learning experiences for the children.
