Bringing hope to those who have lost their homes.
By the end of 2024, 123.2 million people worldwide had been forcibly displaced due to persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations, or public disorder.(UNHCR)
Among them, 73.5 million are internally displaced within their own countries.(IDMC)
Nearly 40%, or 49 million, are children under the age of 18 who have lost access to education and a stable life.(UNHCR)
World in Peace responds to this crisis by supporting refugees and internally displaced persons through the provision of essential supplies, education programs, and livelihood assistance, helping them rebuild stability and hope for the future.

What is a “Refugee”?
When we hear the word refugee, we often think of people fleeing war or persecution — but in reality, there are several different categories of displaced persons:
Convention Refugees
Defined under the 1951 Refugee Convention, these are people who have fled their country due to a well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.
Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)
Individuals forced to flee their homes due to conflict or natural disasters but who remain within their own country. Although not legally protected under the Refugee Convention, they often face the same severe living conditions as refugees.
Asylum Seekers and Stateless Persons
Asylum seekers are those awaiting official recognition as refugees. Stateless persons hold no nationality and are denied basic rights such as access to education, healthcare, and employment.
What we do
Emergency Support
Providing support today to build hope for tomorrow
Many refugees fleeing conflict or persecution arrive with almost nothing. World in Peace delivers essential supplies and food to help them survive the immediate challenges of displacement, giving them the strength to live today and hope for a better tomorrow.
