We are honored to share that the work of World in Peace has been recognized, and our representative Rikuto Hong, a student at Osaka International School, has received the EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools) Global Citizenship Award.
This award is presented to students who take pride in their own culture while respecting the diversity of others, and who strive to make the world a better place through empathy, a global perspective, and meaningful action.
This recognition is not the achievement of one individual alone, it is the result of the passion, dedication, and hard work of every member of World in Peace. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our team members who work together every day to make our activities possible.
Encouraged by this award, we will continue moving forward, step by step toward our vision of delivering peace and support to all people.
Message from Our Representative
I am deeply grateful to have been nominated for and selected as a recipient of the EARCOS Global Citizenship Award. I would like to sincerely thank the teachers who recommended me, as well as everyone who supports our work on a daily basis. It is a great honor to receive such a meaningful award, and I hope it will help bring greater attention to the activities of World in Peace.
That said, I want to be very clear. This award is not something I achieved on my own. I am here because of an incredible team that walks alongside me every day, and because of the many people who support us in different ways. This award represents our shared passion and dedication to our vision, as well as the dreams and hopes each of us holds, to create a world where everyone can live with hope and a sense of safety.
This recognition is not the goal of World in Peace, but rather a starting point, a reminder that we can do more and aim higher. We will continue working to create even greater impact.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who believes in our vision and in the power of young people. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
— Rikuto Hong
Representative, World in Peace
