World in Peace, established in 2024, operates as a non-governmental organization (NGO).

World in Peace complies with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), relevant guidelines, and all applicable data protection laws in handling personal information. To ensure our activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently, we may collect and use personal information as necessary.

We recognize that protecting the personal information of all individuals involved in our activities (hereinafter referred to as “the Individual”) is an important responsibility. Accordingly, we have established the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) and are committed to the appropriate management and protection of personal data.

When providing information to a third party, we maintain records and comply with all legal requirements.Upon request from the Individual, we will promptly respond to inquiries, disclosures, or complaints regarding personal data.

“Personal Information” refers to information as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information—information relating to a living individual that can identify that individual through a name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, or other identifiers.

This includes data such as appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, health insurance numbers, and other identifiers that can identify an individual either on their own or when combined with other information.

Examples include: full name, date of birth, address, email address, telephone number, passport number, credit card number, or any other information that can identify a specific person when matched with other data.

Article 3. Methods of Collection

World in Peace may collect personal information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account details, or credit card information when users make online donations.

We may also collect transaction or payment information from partner organizations (including payment processors, sponsors, or advertising partners).

When personal information is provided directly in writing, online, or through other media, we clearly state the purpose of use in advance.
In cases where the purpose is evident from the context or permitted by law, we may omit explicit notification.

Unless otherwise specified at the time of collection, World in Peace uses personal information only to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes listed below. We will not use personal information beyond these purposes without the Individual’s consent, except as permitted by law.

World in Peace may entrust the handling of personal information to third-party contractors within the scope necessary to achieve the intended purpose. In such cases, we carefully select and supervise contractors to ensure proper data protection.
