On Saturday, May 24, 2025, World in Peace hosted a booth at the SOIS Festival, held at Kwansei Gakuin Senri and Osaka International Schools.
Following our participation in the International Fair, more than 10 volunteer staff members joined us again to support sales and booth operations. We were truly happy to see so many young people actively involved—their energy and initiative brought even more life to the event.
The fair-trade chocolates from Tony’s Chocolonely that we sold were a big success. Not only did we sell out all items prepared for the SOIS Festival, but we also sold out stock reserved for the upcoming International Fair in November!
Tony’s Chocolonely is an ethical brand that works toward a chocolate industry free from child labor, making each purchase a meaningful way to support social change. The remaining proceeds from the sales will be carefully used to support World in Peace’s humanitarian aid activities in Japan and abroad.
We also held a stamp rally at our booth, which many children enthusiastically joined. Through this activity, they were able to learn about fair trade and international cooperation in a fun and engaging way.
Throughout the day, we received many thoughtful questions from visitors, such as:
“What is fair trade?”
“What kind of brand is Tony’s Chocolonely?”
“Can you tell us more about World in Peace’s activities?”
These conversations gave us a valuable opportunity to directly share our mission, values, and the importance of fair trade with the community.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth, as well as all the volunteers who supported us on the day. Moving forward, we will continue working to expand the circle of international cooperation and social impact—powered by the passion and creativity of young people.
